L3Harris Technologies
Palm Bay, Florida

Focused on aligning top talent and expanding its portfolio of innovative solutions, L3Harris Technologies bolstered the company’s research and development activities with a new, high-tech facility on its Palm Bay, Florida, campus. L3Harris also was facing a changing workforce with an increase in retiring team members and a need to attract, recruit and train fresh talent. Eager to implement cutting-edge processes to drive innovation, promote collaboration and cross-pollinate ideas among previously isolated teams, the company engaged BRPH to design its 464,000 SF Florida innovation hub to house more than 1,600 engineers and staff.

BRPH provided master planning, architecture, engineering, interior design and construction administration services for the HTC, including offices, labs, R&D, and amenities. Level one features a main entrance lobby with two giant video information screens; a cafeteria, kitchen, and areas for open and private executive dining; an innovation hub and customer experience multi-purpose room with movable glass partitions; fully equipped conference facilities; flexible training rooms and a fitness center. Level two provides flexible space for dining and/or conferences located on the mezzanine, plus open offices. Levels three through six each contain a contiguous 75,000 square feet per floor and are configured for open space planning, conferencing areas, huddle rooms, break areas, laboratories, and both closed and open offices.

Unveiled in February 2015, the facility represents the best of cutting-edge trends in work environments and boasts well-appointed amenities featuring collaborative and communal meeting spaces to help teams drive innovative ideas and creative brainstorming.
