MELBOURNE, FLA. Sept. 9, 2024 – BRPH, a nationally ranked architecture, engineering and construction firm with 10 offices nationwide, recently was awarded three NASA Silver Group Achievement Awards for work performed at John F. Kennedy Space Center.

The awards were given for projects including an upgrade to the LH2 liquid hydrogren system at Launch Complex 39B, a roof replacement at the Booster Fabrication Facility and an upgrade to the missile grade air system at the same facility.

The LH2 liquid hydrogen dewar, the largest of its kind in the world, was designed to support the Artemis II mission and beyond. BRPH worked on this project for more than seven years, designing alongside NASA as the SLS rocket was in development. The team overcame numerous technical and operational challenges to complete the project on time, “exemplifying the NASA core values of teamwork, excellence and integrity.”

Of the upgraded air system project at the Booster Fabrication Facility (BFF), NASA said BRPH “exemplified high professionalism, teamwork, and engineering excellence standards. The team’s meticulous attention to detail and proactive coordination with technical stakeholders resulted in a quality design that required minimal change orders during construction.”

BRPH was also lauded for its “robust safety planning and culture” throughout the BFF roof replacement project, in which “critical space flight hardware remained protected…without impact to mission-critical NASA and commercial partner activities. The efforts the team put forward to make the project so successful are a credit to themselves and the Spaceport.”
