This morning, members of the BRPH team participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the Mims Elementary School cafetorium. Brevard Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Mark Mullins thanked BRPH and partner Wharton-Smith Construction for our “attention to detail and responsiveness,” adding, “Our kids deserve nothing but the best and we’re going to work out every last detail… You do it with a smile and with grace, and we appreciate you getting to that same level of excellence.”

The new a stand-alone cafeteria/auditorium building will feature a performance stage, full-service kitchen, office space and storage, as well as additional parking and an enhanced drop-off/pick-up area. The 13,000-square-foot facility also will serve as Brevard County’s most state-of-the-art enhanced hurricane shelter with a permanent generator, water storage tank and tornado windows. The generator will support full building operation for 24 hours, including kitchen operations and HVAC. Watch an event recap.

Congratulations to Mims Elementary and Brevard Public Schools on this exciting addition!
