Each year Orlando attracts a staggering number of visitors who are eager to enjoy a day of thrill at our country’s most profound theme parks. Imagine being 17 stories high over Universal Studios, flying at speeds up to 65 mph, your favorite song pumping right along with your adrenaline as you hold on tight for the ride of your life. Only one ride in Orlando can give you that experience, and it is Universal Studios Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit.

BRPH provided architectural and engineering services for this thrill ride and assisted in creating Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit’s reputation as one of the most advanced roller coasters in the world. This high-speed coaster features color-changing LED’s for a dynamic appearance, as well as individual audio and video systems for each seat. Guests who dare to ride what is one of Orlando’s tallest roller coasters can also select a musical track from one of five genres (classic rock, country, rap, pop, and soundtracks) to enhance their experience. The personalization is taken a step further, as the ride is also filmed, allowing riders to obtain a digital copy of their ride film with their selected music.

Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit opened in August of 2009 and is located between two existing facilities, “Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem” and the “Blue Man Group at the Sharp Aquos Theatre” at Universal’s CityWalk. This ride provides thrill and excitement for not only those who choose to ride it but also a once in a lifetime experience you cannot find anywhere else in the world.
