Christina Hoehn

Melbourne, Fla, Jan. 6, 2022 – BRPH is pleased to announce the appointment of Christina Joy Hoehn as its Florida director of education. In this role, Hoehn will work closely with BRPH clients within the education market to conceive, design and implement immersive and cost-effective educational environments that stimulate excitement about learning and adapt to the evolving needs of PreK-12, community colleges and higher educational institutions today.

Hoehn relocated from Edmond, Oklahoma, to assume this position at the firm’s Melbourne headquarters. She brings to her new role a blend of more than 30 years of

experience in architecture, design, and education for professional services companies and in leadership positions within client organizations. The latter responsibilities include work as associate superintendent and chief operations officer of Edmond Public Schools, as an assistant professor at the University of Oklahoma’s College of Architecture, and as a project manager and interior designer for the State of Oklahoma. Throughout her career, she has published numerous papers and presented at several conferences on topics including designing for school safety, integrating technology and design, how education has changed due to the pandemic, and how education benefits from paralleling with the corporate environment. Hoehn earned a bachelor’s degree in interior design with a minor in construction science from the University of Oklahoma and a master’s degree in adult education/design from the University of Central Oklahoma. She is an associate of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), a registered interior designer and holds a certificate from the National Council for Interior Design Qualifications (NCIDQ).

“It is extremely rare to find someone with Christina’s breadth and depth of experience in architecture, design and education, especially one with insights from both the client and consultant perspectives,” said Michael Vernich, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, president of BRPH Architects Engineers, Inc. “We are thrilled to welcome her to the BRPH team and are excited to see where she will take our education unit in the future.”

BRPH is a nationally ranked firm with a vast portfolio of experience in the educational and workforce development environment, with notable projects including South Lake Elementary School in Titusville, which was recently featured on Good Morning America; the Eastern Florida State College Student Union in Melbourne; the Florida Institute of Technology Alumni Center in Melbourne; Lyman High School Career Innovation Center in Longwood; and Denmark High School in Alpharetta, Georgia. The firm’s in-house capabilities include architecture; interior design; graphic design; civil/site, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering; and cost administration. BRPH also provides cost control/estimating and project scheduling and has an extensive quality control program.

Hoehn looks forward to working with existing BRPH clients and expanding the firm’s reach. “I am eager to put my extensive background and skills to work for BRPH and its clients, and ultimately, for the students who will benefit from the new and expanded educational facilities we will create together,” she said. “There are so many opportunities in the field of education today and I am excited to explore those options with a firm as experienced and respected as BRPH.”
