The new Student Union is set to break ground in October and will join the Health Sciences Institute and Public Safety Institute as part of BRPH’s Master Plan with the college to update and expand Eastern Florida State College at the Melbourne campus.

The bright interior design of the new Student Union fosters an open space for students to gather, learn and enjoy their time at EFSC

This is the next step for EFSC as they continue to make students their top priority by offering a rich collegiate experience filled with hands-on education and classrooms boasting the latest educational technology to prepare their students for successful careers. BRPH announced in July of 2016 that we were chosen to design this landmark building on the college’s Melbourne campus.

This two-story 32,000 square foot building is designed with spacious gathering areas and large windows to support students and serve as a multipurpose space. The design includes landscaped outdoor plazas, computer labs, meeting spaces for student government and clubs, and at least three restaurants with room for more. The design was a collaboration between faculty, students and EFSC Foundation.

Located on the south side of the campus, this building will sit between Titan Field House and Science Building with plazas tying all three structures together. The Student Union will act as an entry to the campus, welcoming the students to embrace community, innovation and truly engage in education.
