Boeing 787 Dreamliner Final Assembly Building
BRPH is providing design services for the state-of-the-art 787 Dreamliner final assembly facility at Boeing's 240-acre production complex in North Charleston, South Carolina. A joint venture of Turner Construction and the BE&K Building Group is BRPH's construction partner for this project. BRPH will incorporate a number of sustainable concepts into the building's design to achieve a goal of LEED® Silver certification. BRPH is also working with The Boeing Company to develop a comprehensive masterplan document to guide future development of the 240-acre site which currently contains a paint building, substation, rack storage facility, the Boeing Charleston building, the Global Aeronautica building, a training facility, and associated parking areas. Boeing's expansion plans include the Final Assembly Building, a delivery center, fin and rudder shop, and central utilities building. This project represents the largest single capital investment in South Carolina's history, a record previously tied to BMW's historic decision to bring its luxury car assembly to the state in 1992.
