Ytong Manufacturing Facility
For YTONG's Florida factory in Haines City, BRPH converted a German designed plant to US standards and developed a prototype plant for the Florida site within seven weeks from start to construction bidding. The $32 million facility was substantially completed within 9 months. Highly automated, the factory requires fewer than 20 people to operate it. There are a number of sophisticated overhead cranes, material handlers and floor rail mounted transporting trucks, all requiring precise structural and mechanical engineering. The movement of all these devices is synchronized to maximize the efficiency and yield of this plant, which manufactures Auto-claved Aerated Concrete (AAC) blocks and panels used in construction.
