Launch Support Facility
The Launch Support Facility functions as a communications facility with critical command and control systems. These systems are supported by a critical data center with redundant uninterrupted power and cooling systems. The majority of the two-story building uses a raised floor system for the communications system distribution. The design for the building included anti-terrorism and force protection considerations, secure and non-secure communications, "touch-screen" control of conferencing, audio/ visual displays, lighting and shades, intrusion detection within the facility, and CCTV surveillance throughout the complex The building was hurricane hardened to wind loads of 135 mph.
