Kodiak Launch Complex

Alaska Aerospace Corporation (AAC) selected BRPH to define, design, and administer construction of the Kodiak Launch Complex's launch pad, launch control center, payload processing facility, integration and processing facility, and spacecraft and assemblies transfer building. Construction considerations required innovative solutions to unique circumstances such as weather, environmental conditions, and the logistics of the remote island site. Each challenge was met by BRPH's on-site crew with real-time engineering support from the home office in Melbourne, Florida. The four-hour time difference was used to our advantage to provide same-day solutions to questions that arose on-site.
