Global Aeronautica Paintbooth

The Global Aeronautica manufacturing facility in Charleston, South Carolina, provides for integration of center fuselage sections of the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner Aircraft. Together with a sister facility owned by Vought Aircraft Industries, the entire complex is responsible for more than 60 percent of the 787 fuselage - joining the sections, and installing and testing the associated system elements. The assembled center and aft fuselage sections are painted in Global Aeronautica's paint facility, also located at the Charleston complex, then shipped to Everett, Washington, for final assembly.
