FEFPA honors BRPH for work on Gray Middle School

BRPH was recently honored with an Award of Merit from the Florida Education Planners' Association (FEFPA) for Gray Middle School in Lake County, Florida. As part of the 2011 Architectural Showcase, winners were evaluated on innovation, aesthetics, materials, flexibility, technology, accessibility and site development. BRPH designed the new middle school which accommodates 1,400 students and Allstate Construction built the facility.
Some of the highlights of the design include an expansion of the central courtyard, the existing gym was repurposed into a cafeteria with outdoor dining court, a new gymnasium was built, a classroom building was remodeled into new administrative offices and media center, the auditorium was completely renovated, and a new choral wing was added.
