EFACEC Selects BRPH

EFACEC Transformers, Inc., an affiliate of Portuguese based EFACEC Group, selected the BE&K/BRPH design-build team for the company's first U.S. venture, a new manufacturing facility in Effingham County, Georgia.
The $100 million, 252,000 SF complex will include a 235,000-square-foot manufacturing plant and 17,000 square feet of office space on a 55-acre site. The facility will manufacture shell-type, core-type and mobile electrical power transformers for major U.S. utility customers, including Georgia Power and Florida Power.
The project has an aggressive design-build schedule and is targeted for completion in August 2009.
