V.P. Fran Pickett Earns REFP Professional Designation

Melbourne, Fla. (January 8, 2009) - BRPH is pleased to announce Fran Pickett, Vice President, recently earned the professional designation of Recognized Educational Facilities Professional (REFP). Through this designation the Council of Educational Facility Planners International (CEFPI) recognizes the successful achievements and continual professional development efforts of qualified members. Ms. Pickett is one of only eight REFP designees in Florida.
In order to qualify for the designation Pickett completed the CEFPI-San Diego State University (SDSU) online certification program. This graduate-level series of six courses took two years to complete and also resulted in Fran earning an Advanced Certificate in Educational Facilities Planning from SDSU. She is now co-teaching one of the six SDSU courses on educational specifications.
To maintain the REFP designation Pickett must earn 15 continuing education points every three years and provide proof of exemplary job performance.
