January 29, 2009
Fort Myers, Fla. (Jan. 29, 2009) - BRPH was selected to design a new classroom addition, renovations of existing buildings, and a new covered play pavilion at Lee Middle School in Fort Myers, Fla. The improvements will facilitate the middle school's conversion to the James Stephens International Academy, a K-8 educational facility, which is a consolidation of Michigan International Academy and Lee Middle School on Lee Middle School's current site. Additional improvements will include a new chilled water HVAC system with ice storage, fire sprinklers throughout the campus and an emergency generator providing backup power to all buildings on campus. The $15 million project, expected to accommodate 962 students, is scheduled to open fall 2009.
