AEROSPACE

CONCENTRATE ON THE STARS. WE’VE GOT YOU COVERED HERE ON EARTH.

Through every phase of manned launch, we’ve served as a trusted adviser to spaceport leadership from coast to coast. We’ve designed and/or planned facilities on every launch pad in the United States. From Kennedy to Wallops, Kodiak to Vandenberg, and everywhere in between, we’re supporting the next fleet of commercial spacecraft destined for other worlds.

PIECE OF HISTORY RECEIVES NEW MISSION

Helping to breathe new life into the facilities that once supported the decades long Space Shuttle program, we’ve repurposed some of the most iconic and well known buildings across NASA’s facility portfolio.

OPF-3 to C3PF

As the Shuttle program came to a close, and after a series of new plans formulated to focus on the commercial realm of space access, our aerospace team transformed the former Orbiter Processing Facility 3 (OPF-3) into the new Commercial Crew & Cargo Processing Facility (C3PF). Built in 1984, this thirty-year old facility was prime for a new mission.

Upgrade Complete

The C3PF underwent an extensive, multi-phase retrofit to reconfigure it into the first manufacturing plant ever built for human spacecraft in Florida. It is now home to Boeing’s Crew Space Transportation (CST-100) space capsule, Starliner.
